This actor parlayed teenage success as Theo Huxtable on television's "Cosby Show" (1984-92) into numerous television series roles before death by drowning at age 54 in Costa Rica. Item #52479
Bold "Best / wishes! Malcolm-Jamal Warner" in blue ballpoint on a heavy stock 5" X 3" card, dated by him 6 August 1988 at upper right. Fine. Quite an early example, signed at age eighteen. Original transmittal envelope is also present, with Warner's last name and addressed in his hand at upper left (postally cancelled in Brooklyn, NY on 8 August 1988). Accompanied by a fine 4¼" X 2 3/4" decorative-edged bookplate signed huge and bold by Bill Cosby in black marker. Also present is a fine 8" X 9" glossy heavy stock photograph, an informal group closeup of the "Cosby Show" cast. (Another image in black and white on verso suggests this was a promotional piece.).
