Essays about William H. Herndon, Ward Hill Lamon, Jesse W. Weik, Ida Tarbell, Albert J. Beveridge, Carl Sandburg, Paul M. Angle and other Lincoln scholars. Though not so marked, this copy hails from the library of Lincoln-loving Adlai E. Stevenson III (1900-65), Illinois governor and twice Democratic presidential candidate, and after him Adlai E.
