Near complete set (eight issues in six volumes, lacking the January 1955 issue) of the 26th volume of the well-known newsletter and sales tool from the beloved Boston bookshop that ran for four decades starting in the fateful year 1929. "A conversational catalogue of books, prints, paintings, and autographs," notes the masthead. It would be an injustice to call this delightful, meaty, gossipy compendium of books, documents, prints and more for sale a mere catalogue.
