Below this is the custom bookplate of Deane Waldo Malott (1898-1996), a noted academic administrator and educator who served as assistant dean at Harvard Business School, chancellor of University of Kansas and president of Cornell University. Rhodes (1916-2003) was an influential Arizona congressman (1953-83) who served as House Minority Leader (1973-81).
