This undated (circa 1970) keepsake greeting from the Kansas City businessman (1892-1981) who founded Hallmark cards bears a large head-and-shoulders portrait by artist Donald Edward Dubowski (1947-2020) of a bearded Lincoln on front wrapper, with heavy glassine overlay filled with stylized text quoting part of his National Thanksgiving Proclamation. arranged so that the text block fills the space of Lincoln's head underneath. Inner panel bears printed message: "With gratitude for your loyalty and friendship, / and sincere wishes for a happy Thanksgiving," followed by a printed facsimile of Hall's signature. Original transmittal envelope (blank, never mailed) also present. Interesting and unusual.
