Tight and nice copy of this historical fiction set in Scotland, lengthily subtitled "How he was Kidnapped and Cast away; his Sufferings in a Desert Isle; His Journey in the Wild Highlands; his acquaintance with Alan Breck Stewart and other notorious Highland Jacobites; with all that he suffered at the hands of his Uncle, Ebenezer Balfour of Shaws, falsely so-called." Colophon at rear notes limitation of 1500 numbered copies (this #1132) boldly signed in full by illustrator Mueller. Laid in is the small announcement card and interesting 5½" X 8" handbill advertising "Exhibition of work in progress / WOOD ENGRAVINGS / for the Limited Editions Club's / KIDNAPPED" on display in New York, presumably in 1938.
