This copy bears a choice autograph addition: Tipped to front flyleaf is a Typed Note Signed from introducer Beebe, 1p, 5½" X 8½", New York, NY, 13 August 1940. Addressed to future Lincoln/Civil War scholar Arnold F. Gates (1914-93). Near fine. I have two others on the table." Boldly signed in full. A superb, extra-illustrated copy of this lovely production. Heavy stock prospectus card for this title laid in.
