Bold and nice map of these five countries, from the 1864 edition of "Mitchell's New General Atlas, Containing Maps of the Various Countries of the World, Plans of Cities, Etc." Inset at lower left within Chili shows "Island of Juan Fernandez," while inset at center shows "Harbor of Bahia" and at lower right shows "Harbor of Rio Janeiro." Attractive example, with fine floral border. Neatly affixed to verso is a trimmed uncolored map titled “Colton’s Europe” (New York: J.H. Colton & Co., 1855).
