Attractive, tight sixth edition of this French-language translation first published in 1847, a volume in this publisher's "Bibliotheque de la Jeunesse Chretienne" series. Engraved title page gives titles as "Histoire de Thomas Morus: chancelier d'Angleterre." British writer William Joseph Walter (d. 1847) published several works about Saint Thomas More.
