Item #46528 Signatures. Robert R. McCORMICK, Dwight H. GREEN, Edward J. KELLY.

Signatures.

"Colonel" McCormick was the legendary editor and publisher of the "Chicago Tribune" (1920-55); Green was the 30th governor (Republican) of Illinois, serving from 1941 to 1949; and Kelly was the powerful Democratic mayor of Chicago, serving from 1933 to 1947. Item #46528

On the blank verso of a heavy stock 4" X 4 3/4" card bearing a printed line drawing of Chicago's "Tribune Tower" with "1847 1947" beneath, near the top Mayor Kelly and Governor Green each sign large and bold in blue ballpoint and McCormick signs large and bold in pencil. Very good. Single inoffensive light fold near bottom. This unusual trio, clearly obtained at some centennial celebration, are accompanied by an original 6½" X 8½" black-and-white glossy news agency photograph, a head-and-shoulders portrait of Governor Green. Near fine. A quite scarce autographic triumvirate -- and a most unusual pair.
