On heavy stock "Dame Anna Neagle, D.B.E." imprinted letterhead, Neagle apologizes for tardiness: "We had a postal strike which lasted almost two months and, there was such an accumulation of mail that everything has become hopelessly behind." Boldly penned in blue ink and signed in full on second leaf. Handsome later life example.
