This blond bombshell actress and dancer reached her height in the late 1940s and 1950s in such films as "The Best Years of Our Lives" (1946) and popular Danny Kaye comedies such as "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (1947) and a string of dramas, adventures, Westerns and other genre films. Bold "To Bill -- / Sincerely / Virginia Mayo in blue ballpoint on a lined heavy stock 4 3/4" X 2½" card, n.p., n.y. Very good. Lightly age toned. Undated, but of 1980s vintage. Accompanied by a superb glossy 10" X 8" photograph, a scene from the 1953 3-D Western "Devil's Canyon" showing her with co-star Dale Robertson. A sharp signature with choice image.
