A tight, nice first edition of the 1976 Benjamin F. Fairless Memorial Lecture, boldly inscribed and signed by Harper in black fineline on front flyleaf: "To Bob Malott / with all good wishes / John Harper." Harper (1910-85) was the long-time president and CEO of Alcoa (Aluminum Company of America). Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago businessman, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist.
