A tight, fairly attractive later printing of these stories first published in "The New York" by the American screenwriter and short story author (1897-1972) best known for her 1944 "Meet Me in St. Louis." This copy bears a choice autograph addition: Tipped to the front flyleaf is a fine heavy stock 5" X 3" card signed large and bold by SHIRLEY TEMPLE BLACK in black marker, also dated by her "Aug. 19, 1984." Temple (1928-2014) made her radio debut in this 1942 CBS Radio situation comedy in which she played main character Judy Graves. Laid in is the perfect bookmark: The original Shirley Temple transmittal envelope.
