New York: Bevier & Co., n.y. 16mo (3½" X 6") heavy stock original printed display panel with five diecut circles housing complete set of five silver-, copper- and gold-finish medallions arranged by size (top to bottom: 3/4", 3/4", 7/8", 1" and 1 3/16" diameters). Near fine. Original scotch tape strip on verso (to hold medallions in place) still affixed though tape-stained beneath. Item #40461

Recto of display panel printed in bold blue and orange, with caption "Spinning Coins from the 'World of Tomorrow'" across the bottom. Text-heavy verso captioned "Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of the Inauguration of Our First President, George Washington," and alongside the versos of each of the five medallions is text explaining the World's Fair structure pictured: First verso depicts "Hall of the Nations," second depicts "Contemporary Arts," third depicts "The Music Hall," fourth depicts "Public Health" and fifth depicts "Hall of Communication." Bottom of panel explains the medallion versos: "Front -- Fair Theme 'The Trylon and Perisphere,'" these enormous spire and sphere structures being the central image for the fair. Other than tape stain on verso, a nearly pristine quartette.
