This Luftwaffe ace downed ten enemy aircraft during World War Two and earned the Knight's Cross; he was captured later in the war and imprisoned. Item #37941

PS, 10" X 8", n.p., n.y. Fine. High quality modern glossy black and white print of a WW2-era photograph of Burschgens crouched atop his plane's cockpit. In a light area at upper right, he signs boldly in black fineline, adding the military abbreviation "7/J.G.26S." (7 Jagdgeschwader 26 Schlageter). A great example signed later in life.
