A tight, internally nice first edition of this intriguing primer on how to open new schools -- not just a history and survey of Michigan educational institutions, but architectural plans for different types of schools ranging from multi-floor buildings to one-room country schoolhouses and detailed illustrated discussion of types of school desks, inkwells and all manner of teaching apparatus. A decent copy despite flaws, and rather scarce. Not in Sabin.
