This bestselling Iowa-born novelist always returned to her roots in such renowned works as "The Folks" (1934) and other Midwest classics. TNS, 1p, heavy stock 5½" X 3¼" postal card, Cedar Falls, IA, 1937 September 20. Addressed to Owen Davies, Bookseller. Very good. Brief note on manila stock to a Chicago bibliopole, reading in part: "Thanks very much for your cards in regard to the two Grant books. However, I have succeeded in finding both of them since I made the request." Beneath her bold signature in black ink, she also adds "(Mrs. F.R. Nuhn)." Presumably Suckow needed these books for research on an upcoming book. An interesting, attractive example. Item #36264
