Signed Calling Card.
This Wisconsin law professor and politician served that state as U.S. Senator (1891-97) and, under Grover Cleveland, served as postmaster general (1885-88) and secretary of the interior (1888-89). Signed "The Secretary of the Interior" calling card, heavy stock 4" X 2", n.p. [Washington, DC], 1889. Very good. Mild bit of age toning and very slight smudge to the "s" in "Vilas."
