Bold signature in blue ballpoint, heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., 1969 June 17. Fine. With original envelope. Signed only seven months before his death. Accompanied by a superb original black-and-white glossy 1953 news agency photograph (International News Photo), 9" X 7". Original mimeographed newsprint text sheet present and tipped to verso (as issued). Fine image showing Humphrey half-length seated at his desk, reaching for the intercom. Titled "New Treasury Secretary at Work," the text reads in part: "Secretary of the Treasury George Humphrey is shown at his desk yesterday as he formally took over the Treasury Department...." A choice vintage photograph, itself scarce and desireable.
