This screenwriter penned dozens of films between the 1927 comedy "What Happened to Father?" (co-authored with Mary Roberts Rinehart) and the 1950 action flic "Pirates of the High Seas," many of them Westerns. "Sept. 6, 1930 -- / Recalling the old days on / Mission Road -- when Richard / Headrick was my principal / publicity medium and Preston / Sawyer, my favorite newspaper / correspondent / Charles R. Condon" boldly penned in black fountain pen on a beige 6" X 3 3/4" autograph album leaf. n.p. Near fine. Preston Sawyer (1899-1968) was a California journalist and historical writer.
