DS, 1p, 11" X 9", Richmond, VA, 1864 September 2. Very good. Minor age toning; small mounting trace on verso. "Four Per Cent Registered Bond," a picturesque Confederate bond made out for five hundred dollars and boldly signed by Tyler as Register of the Treasury. Near the top is a handsome engraving depicting a naval battle, with a Confederate ironclad ship prominently featured. A handsome and scarce Confederate item.
