Bug-eyed, walrus-mustachioed American comedian and musician remembered for his Bob Hope USO appearances overseas; films include several of the Hope-Crosby "Road" pictures. Asked to compose a humorous verse by an admirer, Colonna manages a two-line ditty in his large, bold script: "To Donald Burnell / I can't even spell / Jerry Colonna" in blue ballpoint, roughly rectangular 4 3/4" X 4" slip, n.p., n.y. [ca. 1960]. Good plus. Several small scotch tape stains at edges, slightly touching upon two letters only. Despite flaw, a fun and fairly attractive item. Item #22816
