Tipped to front flyleaf is a Typed Note Signed from Blay, 1p, 4¼" X 6½". New York, NY, 4 December 1958. Addressed to Arnold F. Gates (1914-93, noted Civil War/Lincoln scholar). Near fine. To this founding member and officer of the New York Civil War Round Table, Blay writes: "I appreciate your thoughtfulness in asking me to attend the 75th meeting of The Civil War Round Table of New York, and shall be on hand."
