Handsome fifth title in the LEC's forty-third series, with rear colophon noting limitation of 2000 numbered copies (this #963) signed by illustrator Ingleton and the book's designer Douglas A. Dunstan. There have been several film versions of this notorious mutiny, and this intriguing copy bears autograph additions of cast members from two of those films. Tipped to front flyleaf are fine, matching heavy stock 5" X 3" cards, top to bottom: EDDIE QUILLAN (1907-90, plays Ellison in 1935's "Mutiny on the Bounty") signs large and bold in blue ballpoint, dating it 20 October 1973 at upper right; below this ANTHONY HOPKINS (born 1937, who plays Bligh in 1984's "The Bounty") signs big and bold in purple ballpoint, dating it 16 March [1971] at upper right. Laid in are both original signature transmittal envelopes. Interesting extra-illustrated copy of this hefty, sumptuous edition. NEWMAN 494.
