Attractive quintette of the LEC's hefty Bible, as designed by founder George Macy. One slipcase houses the first three volumes -- The Old Testament, issued 1935 -- while a second slipcases houses the Apocrypha and The New Testament, issued 1936. Colophon at rear of third, fourth and fifth volumes notes limitation of 1500 numbered copies (this #1132). Surprisingly uncommon as a complete set. NEWMAN 73.
