Handsome production of this lavish edition from the LEC's Second Series, a translation of the anonymous 14th century collection of writings about the 13th century friar. The custom woven binding cloth is lovely and Paolo Molnar's uncredited engravings are superb. The Officini Bodoni of Verona, Italy printed and bound this edition under the direction of Hans Mardersteig, who boldly signs in pencil the colophon at rear which notes limitation to 1500 numbered copies (this #117).
