Tight, attractive copy of the 25th "Lakeside Classic," the annual keepsake presented by this printer/publisher to friends and clients starting in 1903. First published in 1894, Howes describes this as a "Classic account, by a survivor, of dire sufferings endured by an emigrant party on a short-cut from Salt Lake City to California through the valley called ever after by this fearful name." Early Lakesides from their "green period" -- the first thirty years -- have become increasingly scarce in recent years. HOWES M255 note.
