Quite lovely first edition of this cross between a trade catalogue and an industry history, titled simply “Glass-Paints: Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company” on front board. As the introductory note offers, "Originally this book was planned to be merely a catalogue... of the manifold products of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company.... The work has grown on our hands; the book has become a volume...." Founded in 1883, Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company later shed its plate glass line and today is known as Pittsburgh Paints, one of the world's largest paint and coatings producers. Uncommon in such sharp condition.
