Ludwig Glaeser provides the introduction and notes to this handsome first edition, a generous assortment of floor plans and architectural renderings from the renowned German-American modernist architect (1886-1969). Interestingly, upper right of title page bears a 2006 gift inscription to an architect "from Taylor (via Deever Rockwell)" -- Taylor being the son of Harry P. "Deever" Rockwell (1926-2014), a noted Illinois architect who trained under Mies Van Der Rohe and worked in his offices and from whose collection this very copy hailed. A lovely copy of a scarce title and with interesting connection to the subject himself.
