First and probable sole printing of this keepsake, subtitled on half-title page "Marshall Coyne's Journey to China March 6 through March 29, 1986." Tipped to half-title page is a fine Autograph Note Signed from Coyne, 1p, heavy stock 5" X 3½" card. Holiday presentation card imprinted with Coyne's name and address in red with sprigs of holly in green. He boldly pens in black fineline: "Pat & Ralph / For a winderful / Holiday with Joy & Love / M." Coyne (1911-2000), the "total hotelier," also nicknamed the "dean of the hospitality industry in Washington," was a businessman who upgraded D.C.'s standards when he opened the ultra-luxurious Madison Hotel in 1963, which became the accommodation of choice for the rich and famous, kings, presidents, prime ministers.... Likely prepared in a modest quantity for presentation by Coyne to friends and seldom encountered.
