First edition of this verse collection by Cucchi (born 1945), a noted Italian poet, translator, journalist and literary critic. He boldly inscribes (in Italian) and signs the front flyleaf in black ink to Paolo Cherchi, distinguished University of Chicago comparative literature and languages professor. Tipped to blank leaf facing title page is a unique frontispiece -- an Autograph Letter Signed to Cherchi from Cucchi, 1p, 8¼" X 11 3'4" (folded down to 4¼" X 6"), n.p., n.y. Very good. Also in Italian (not translated). Most unusual.
