Quite handsome, tight first edition of this retrospective of the famed Chicago photographer's lifelong work, shown at Yale's Beinecke Rare Rook and Manuscript Library and other libraries and museums in 1997-98 -- and this superb copy inscribed and signed by him large and bold in black fineline on inner flyleaf: "To Don Padgitt -- / With many thanks / to you for all / your good advice -- / All best wishes / David Plowden / 10/18/97." Like much of Plowden's work, it covers the Midwest and East coast.
