Item #46380 Signature / Unsigned Photograph. Bobby JORDON.

Signature / Unsigned Photograph.

This actor appeared in a string of films from the '30s through the '50s, but is best remembered as one of the few who appeared as one of the "Dead End Kids" in that 1930 series AND the "East Side Kids" AND finally in the 1940s the "Bowery Boys" with the ever-popular Leo Gorcey and Huntz Hall; he died of alcoholism at age 42. Item #46380

Bold signature in black ink on a 3 3/4" X 3¼" album leaf, n.p., n.y. Fine. Accompanied by a glossy 8" X 10" photograph, a still scene from the 1942 "East Side Kids" flick "Smart Alecks" showing Jordan and Gorcey standing (friendly police officer with hands on their shoulders) as another police officer sits at a desk with co-star Gale Storm. For good measure, a fine heavy stock 5" X 3" card signed boldly by Storm in blue ballpoint and dated by her 29 January 1973 at upper right is included (with original transmittal envelope). Storm (1922-2009) was a popular actress and singer of the 1940s and '50s. A superb, unusual trio. Jordon's signature seldom surfaces and is quite scarce.
