Famed "Life" photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt's even more famed August 14, 1945 V-J Day photograph showing a sailor kissing a nurse in Times Square has caused a sensation in recent years, with half a dozen men and several women claiming to be the sailor and the nurse -- but this sailor and later New York policeman's claim is among the strongest.
