Near pristine first edition of these "Selected Essays 1949-1995" by the famed "godfather of neoconservatism" (1920-2009), a distinguished intellectual, editor and journalist. He boldly inscribes and signs the half-title page in black ballpoint: "for Bob Malott / with warmest regards / Irving." Rarely found signed. Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist.
