Tight, attractive first edition of the second in the highly-regarded "Studs Lonigan" trilogy. This copy bears unusual and appropriate autograph additions: Tipped to front flyleaf are three fine matching heavy stock 5" X 3" cards, one signed by a cast member of the 1960 "Studs Lonigan" film version and two signed by cast members of the 1979 television miniseries version: At top is Jack Kruschen (1922-2002), who portrays Charlie the Greek, who signs boldly in blue ballpoint and adds "Nov 16, 1970" at upper right; below him is Harry Hamlin (born 1951), who portrays Bill "Studs" Lonigan, who signs boldly in black ballpoint and adds "Spring '81" at upper right; and below him is Charles Durning (1923-2012), who portrays Paddy Lonigan, who signs "Thank you Richard / Charles durning" in blue ballpoint and adds "7/18/76" at upper right. Laid in are Kruschen, Hamlin and Durning transmittal envelopes.
