Stevenson III (b. 1930) and belonged to his father, twice Illinois governor and twice presidential candidate Adlai E. Stevenson II (1900-65) -- front flyleaf bears nonauthorial gift inscription (signer unknown) in blue ink on front flyleaf: "To Adlai Stevenson / Joy and blessings / on / your birthday / Marjorie Gilles / 5 February 1954."
