The Mutiny of the Elsinore.

New York: The Macmillan Company, 1914. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Orange cloth with ivory and gilt lettering and blue and grey pictorial front board stamping. 378pp, (8pp ads). Color frontispiece. Good plus. Super tight and internally near fine, but gilt spine lettering almost entirely rubbed off and, while ivory and gilt front board lettering remains strong, the blue pictorial waves that fill much of the front board are largely chipped off, though the large sailship rising in the distance remains sharp. Item #45356

A tight and nice first edition of this fact-inspired seafaring novel informed by London's 1912 journey around Cape Horn. Spine lettering nearly gone and front board pictorial element heavily chipped, but internally a quite decent and tight first.
