Quite mild edgewear, with spine lettering a tad rubbed; inner hinges delicate and rough but expertly, archivally strengthened, thus strong. Item #45259

Attractive and tight first edition of the first title in the 4-volume baseball-theme "School Team Series" published (1908-11). Fairly uncommon, especially in nice condition. Earl was the pen name of Beth Bradford Gilchrist (1879-1957).
