A Million at 20; or, Fighting His Way in Wall Street.

New York: Frank Tousey, Publisher, 1902. Paperback. October 8, 1902 edition (No. 227) of "Pluck and Luck: Complete Stories of Adventure." 4to. Pictorial color wrappers. 32pp. Good plus. Outer wrappers mildly edgeworn and chipped at both outer corners; inner text pages moderately age toned and delicate as usual. Item #44438

Attractive issue of this adventure weekly. Brightly-colored chromolithograph front wrapper depicts a young man in a posh Manhattan office crashing into an older gent to grab a satchel as shocked coworkers watch. Caption below explains: "'Give me the $100,000 or we leap into eternity together!' cried the stranger. Osborn raised both hands imploringly, and gasped out: 'Yes, yes, you shall have it.' Quick as a flash Jack made a dive at the man. His hands clutched the satchel as his head struck him in the back." Cheesy and colorful front wrapper graphics. A better than average dime novel (actually, "Price 5 Cents") or "penny dreadful," with text printed in two columns.
