Tight and attractive copy (Volume XX, Number 38) of the famed weekly begun in 1925. Front wrapper art by William Cotton (1880-1958) shows citizens voting on election day -- couple at a table filling out a form, others lined up before an old-fashioned voting booth, lady with woven basket of groceries chatting with election official. "Who's Who" of cartoon contributors include James Thurber, Charles Addams (non-macabre), Whitney Darrow Jr., Chon Day and George Price.
