Very good. While internally tight, bright and fine, binding spine (only) shows light sunning and miniscule chipping at head and tail. Item #44119

A superbly bright and handsome early printing of this hefty 1881 juvenile text, which James I. Robertson Jr. critiques: "Coffin, a gifted writer and non-military observer, compiled this superior travelogue during his extensive travels in both theaters; very heavy on social scenes."
