N.p. N.p., n.y. Paperback. Oblong miniature (4 3/8" X 2½"). Color pictorial wrappers. 8pp (accordion style). Very good. Mild wear to outer wrappers (only), else internally bright, tight and near fine. Item #43140
Outstanding apparent first and only edition of this delightful charmer, featuring eight panels each with large chromolithograph image and 6-line stanza telling the adventure of this gent and his dickenish dachsund. Superb condition for this tiny, delicate beauty. One authoritative source claims James Daniels of Aberdeen, Scotland as publisher of this bibliographically cryptic production, with circa 1910 as year of publication -- though we feel 1890-1900 is more likely the era. (The other volumes in this 4-volume series are "The Artist's Sorrows," "How Mousie Was Caught" and "A River Excursion.").
