This Austrian painter, sculptor and printmaker was a surrealist who has been described as "the first psychoanalytical painter," but it is for co-founding the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism in the late 1950s together with Ernst Fuchs, Wolfgang Hutter and several others that he's best remembered.
