Scarce first trade edition of the autobiography of the famed 18th century Italian adventurer and womanizer -- and with a choice autograph addition: Tipped to the front flyleaf is a heavy stock white 5½" X 4" card boldly signed "From, / Vincente / Minnelli" in black fineline. Undated, but circa 1983. American stage and film director Minnelli (1903-86) began as a costume and set designer, as his semi-erotic drawings for this volume clearly show. A lovely and unusual copy.
