Autograph Quotation Signed.
This American writer, poet, activist and social reformer edited "Godey's Lady's Book" briefly, and later appeared often as correspondent in the "New York Times"; Abraham Lincoln gave her the nickname "Grace Greenwood the Patriot." AQS, 1p, 4" X 4½", n.p., n.y. Very good. Faintly age toned. Charming sentiment, boldly penned in brown ink: "Says Juliet in her balcony, / 'What's in a name?' / Not much, I own, and yet my / all / Of Grace and fame," boldly signed at the conclusion. A charming example. Item #40367
