A wonderfully tight, handsome 39th volume of this annual anthology of prose and poems on a borad array of topics, entirely in German. Title translation: "Daughter Album: Conversations in the Domestic Circle for the Formation of the Heart and Mind of the Adolescent Female Youth." Gumpert (1810-97) was an influential German children's writer and this her best-known work, the first volume of which was published in 1855.
