A wonderfully tight and marvelously handsome reprint edition of this historical fiction -- entirely in German -- set in the time of Martin Luther. Undated, but circa 1890. Albert Emil Brachvogel (1824-78) was a popular German author of historical fiction. The binding is spectacularly fresh, with gilt bright.
