A tight and nice first edition of a notable "close critical analysis of five of Ernest Hemingway's novels and a number of his most important short stories" -- from the library of academic and literary critic Joseph J. Waldmeir (1923-2013), author of "Hemingway: Up in Michigan Perspectives," who is cited on page 177 and who makes a few pencil squiggles and a couple of pencilled margin comments.
